Cell the Wizard

Part Two

Cell had gotten out of the hospital only a day ago, and now, in his new house, he had gotten the idea that there was something more to this wizarding stuff than meets-the-eye. His "mother" had a cat, (Rufus) two owls, (Morty and Flicker) and a toad (Caparan).

Then, one day, while he was reading a book entitled One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, he saw an eagle owl at the window. He said, "Er..mom..an..owl.." The woman replied, "It's probably your letter, dear! Let it in!"

He did, and took the letter that the owl was carrying in it's beak. He read it and said, "And where are we going to get this stuff?" Mom said, "Why, in Diagon Alley, of course. We'll go tomorrow, I have to get Rufus some medicine anyway. Oh, and what animal do you want?" Cell thought for a minute, then said, "Which one's most useful?" Mom said, "The owl, Nathan. It carries letters and everything, it's dead useful." Cell said, "Fine, an owl."

In Diagon Alley, people kwpt dodging out of Cell's way. Obviously being the son of you-know-who, word had gotten around quickly.

They had almost finished shopping, and Mom asked Cell, "Have we missed anything?" Cell looked down the list, and he said, "Yes. A wand." This was what he'd been waiting for. From what he'd read in the books, wands could accomplish quite a bit. He especially liked the book Hogwarts, A History. It had told about all the different houses, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw. He thought it most likely that he'd be in Slytherin, but he also thought it possible for him to be in Ravenclaw, because in the short period of less than a day, he had absorbed information from the books like a sponge.

In what seemed like no time at all, he was on the Hogwarts Express, bound for Hogwarts. He was in the last compartment on the train, which was empty because everyone else was afraid of him. That is, except for one girl.

She had come in and said, "You don't mind, do you? Everywhere else is full." Cell said, "No. And who are you?" The girl said, "Black. Lunace Black. But you can call me Luna. All my friends, well, the few I do have, call me that. By the way, who are you?" Cell said, "I don't really know, I--sort of have amnesia, but from what I can judge, I'm Nathan Riddle." Lunace's eyes grew wide, and her eyebrows raised so high they were in danger of disappearing into her hair. She said, "Oh...you're the son of Voldemort. Funny, the newspaper said nothing about how cute you were."

Indeed, Nathan's body was tall, fairly thin, but muscular, and he had black hair, and he had a perfectly blemish-free face, topped off with silvery-blue eyes. Lunace, on the other hand, had very thick dark hair with little strands of green throughout it.

Cell felt his cheeks go red. He erased the thought, and was staring out the window until a witch in a red robe came through the door. She said, "What'll it be?" Lunace said, "Tell you what, Nathan, I'll buy. I've got enough money to spare," she paused and turned her attention to the witch, and said, "We'll have ten chocolate frogs, four bags of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and...two more chocolate frogs." She gave the witch a few Galleons, and said, "Keep the change."
