Cell's Color

In his profile section, you learned what his 'colors' were. But this is totally different. Each color, psycologically, means something different. The color blue, for example, is an introspective color. It's calm, soothing and symbolizes trust and loyalty. Usually quiet people are blues. The color green is a healing color. It is the color of growth and vigor, reliable and trustworthy.

This also is not Cell's color.

Keep in mind that your color is not based on what your favorite color is, the color you wear the most often, or even the color of your hair and eyes. Your color is based on your personality and feelings about certain things. So what is Cell's personality color?

Black.

I was surprised when I read this, because when most of us think of black, we think of evil, cold-hearted, very VERY BAD. And although technically Cell was indeed a bad guy, he can't really be classified as such in the traditional sense, since he didn't really choose this path. Dr. Gero created him as such, so he really didn't get much of a choice.

Black, personality wise, is not a bad color. It doesn't necessarily mean you're a brooding, depressed person. Infact, traditionally the color black stood for elegance, success, and power. Three characteristics which perfectly describe our man Cell. He was elegant and proper, certainly more so than most of the other villains on DBZ. He rarely, if ever, used slang terms, and he was always polite. He was successful in that he actually survived to attain his complete perfection. He was also successful in doing what no other villain had yet to do; he killed Goku. So even though in the long run, Cell failed, he can still be considered a winner to a certain degree.

The third characteristic, Power, was Cell's middle name. The entire Cell saga infact was built on power. Up until then, the Z senshi had never even imagined that such a power as Cell's could even exsist. To them, Frieza was, and had been, their most powerful foe.

Not only does the color black represent power, but it also represents an uncompromising demand for perfection. Sound familiar? Cell was constantly throwing that little word up in our face. He took the word 'perfect' to another level. When he first emerged he didn't even know WHY he wanted to become perfect, only that it was what he'd been created to become. Notice that Cell wasn't born perfect. No one is (or can be, which is the reason Cell was defeated). He had to work for it, strive for it. He went through the trouble of killing trunks and taking his time machine to get to another dimension. He waited underground for four years to gain strength. He worked his way up. He had determination, you HAVE to give him that, and it's none-the-less admirable.

People with black personalities set challenging goals for themselves and go through any means possible to achieve these goals. Again, this is evident with Cell. After he absorbed the androids, what was his next goal? Defeating Goku. Which he did. Maybe not in the way that he'd originally planned to do, but he accomplished this feat none-the-less. Cell had an unfaultering, sense of determination, which some of us tend to lack at times. How many of us would be willing to wait nearly a decade to finally get what we want? Sure, there are a few that would, and are, still waiting, but lets face it. Most people would just get bored or frustrated and go on to something else.

People with a black personality tend to impress others with their natural grace and elegance, their unfaultering determination and sense of pride, and their strong aura's of strengh. But, often times this can be intimidating to some. All that power and control can scare people, and this is why black personalities tend to be loners. (As was Cell)
